Description
Model 18 500cc, 1935 in very good order.
Been out for a ride today and will be sad to see it go but these days I don't ride much.
It has recently had new wheel rims, spokes and tyres, and painted as per period with the red/ black stripe, hubs also powder coated while free of spokes etc.
A new neoprene clutch cover gasket now just fitted and the cover resprayed beautifully with 2 pack.
All the lights and speedo work, not sorted the horn yet though.
Very nice tinwork , resprayed just before i took ownership some 7 years past.
I have cleaned thoroughly the tank and lined it as I have done with all my older bikes, regardless of the good overall condition of the tank,
New seat .
Nice easy to select gears, original dolls head gearbox.
Very easy starter, good mag, and rides very well for a 90 year old bike,
even the brakes actually work without much delay!
6 former owners, v5 here in my name, legally held in my possession with no finance or such like outstanding.
Test ride available on a private driveway,
Transferable reg, not my thing to split but quite a nice number though, possibly worth a few thousand who knows!
Prices have dropped as we are all aware, but being honest if it doesn't sell very close to my asking price then i will just keep it.
These Nortons are just such great looking bikes and I get as much pleasure from looking at them as riding them these days.
Any questions answered to the best of my remaining memory.
There is no paperwork with the bike other than the v5 and a receipt from when I purchased the bike.
