This Lancia Delta 16v was originally a Japan market car, I have a list of the owners in Japan, it was exported by Cosmo Japan of Kobe to UK on 20 Oct 2020. The car has full UK log book documentation, I am the second UK owner having bought it from the UK importer 3 years ago.
This Delta is uniquely rust free, no extra undersealing or welding has ever been done. During the car's 12 month refurbishment I relocated new original style side winkers to the Euro position, and a plate was welded behind the old Japan hole, that's the only metalwork done.
This car was owned by a Japanese car tuner, who improved the Delta with extra electronics etc. I have replaced most non standard items with new original standard equipment. The car has recently completed a doors off and windows out repaint in its original dark grey metallic. Car completely stripped down with all fittings cleaned or replaced.
I have restored the interior with a new black carpet, new lightly used black leather original Recaro front seats, new faux leather soft upholstered door cards and much cleaning up, roof lining and door handles are good. I have retained the short shift gear change and slight dish steering wheel. The car had been chassis strengthened by the JDM tuner, which stiffens the bodyshell up, I have left this in place, it has a stainless main exhaust system.
The car starts easily and runs well, with receipts for belts etc done in Yorkshire by previous owner not too long ago. The only non standard engine item is an alloy radiator, many new parts have been fitted by me, big and small. Such as a new coil, clutch master cylinder, new grille red trim, new expensive dipping headlights and a new original silencer from Tanc has been fitted. New rad temp controls and resistor, rear and front screen washers, turbo overboost valve, plugs, leads, air filter, and many new clips etc. Original 16v wheels, refurbished to a high standard and new tyres have been installed.
New front wheel bearings, water pump, anti roll bar bushes, steering rack joints, belts lately fitted by previous owner. New brake pads and refurbished rear calipers have just been fitted by me. The diff has extra supports bars, the car sits well and rides comfortably on good quality adjustable coil overs. The Japan owner had the front fog lights removed and brake cooling ducts installed. I have removed these and fitted genuine, rare Lancia blanking panels, I have installed an Alfa style offset number plate, this is fitted without drilling into the bumper and can easily be removed if you don't like it. The new twin filament headlights from TB give good lighting.
Delta is currently on sorn and hasn't been used since rebuild. it will be motd before sale. This a good, original, beautifully finished, rust free Delta at a bargain price, with many years reliable motoring ahead.
