1974 MG BGT 1800 Overdrive Rare Factory Purple
MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt.
Great mechanical condition, extremely solid and reliable.
Rebuilt Unleaded Ivor Searle engine fitted in 2018 and has done less than 1000 miles since.
Overdrive works well.
Extremely solid car, front and rear wing seams are very good. Wheel arch lips are crisp and clean. The doors close easily. Floors are good. All carpets can be lifted for inspection.
Engine starts and runs well, good oil pressure and stays cool.
Alloy wheels and good tyres all round.
The Aconite Purple paintwork is lovely, a few age related marks etc but overall in very presentable condition.
It was a 74 only colour and it’s estimated only 200 BGT’s were painted purple from factory.
Interior trim is in good condition the Biscuit Cord seats have no rips or tears, the carpets are also in good condition.
This is an extremely solid car that can be driven and enjoyed as-is with no work needed, large folder of receipts detailing thousands of pounds of work over the years.
