I am selling my beautiful 944 Lux after 7 wonderful years together. I bought the car in 2018 as a bit of a project needing a mechanical / electrical refurb, and have slowly done all of the little jobs she has needed over the years. Having run out of things to do on her, I am now looking to buy a 944 Turbo, so reluctantly selling to make space for that.
Full Service History in original service book, with a thick supplemental history folder (see pictures).
As you can see from the pictures, the bodywork, wheels and interior are absolutely flawless for the age. No dents or scratches. No rips or tears to the seats. Only the typical 944 "wrinkles" on the dashboard showing her age. No rust, as this vehicle has had a very high quality respray. The chassis is solid and rust free since the sills have been done. I've never driven her in the winter when the road salts go down, and she has always been garaged in my ownership. In fact, you can tell from the overall condition that this vehicle has probably always been garaged since 1986. Being an '86 model, she will gain Historic Vehicle status at 40 years old next year. Therefore will be MOT exempt, Road Tax exempt and London ULEZ / Birmingham Clean Air Zone exempt.
The body rigidity due to the rare factory sunroof delete option means this is one of the best 944s I have ever driven in terms of ride and handling. It has also aided in keeping the interior free from water leaks etc.

Over the years, I've had pretty much every major mechanical and electrical component replaced or modernised.
Recent work includes:
-Major Service done by PCT Select Porsche Specialist in May 2025
-MOT with no advisories in May 2025
-Cam/ balance belts replaced in July 2023
-Wireless Reversing Camera fitted - fully plug and play therefore can be removed to return to stock condition if required.
-Original rubber doughnut clutch replaced with new Sachs clutch kit and "Only 944" short shifter kit imported from USA (22 hour job). Must be driven to fully appreciate the difference this makes.
-Replaced fuel rail and pressure regulator with refurbished parts.
-Both door sills replaced
-New brake discs and pads
-New Power Steering pump
-4 wheel alignment
-Both door aperture seals and tailgate aperture seal replaced
-Engine bay to cold-air blower zone rubber seal replaced.
-Cold-air blower vents fitted with "cabin air filters".
-Blaupunkt Bluetooth Radio and Kicker Speaker upgrade. Original Panasonic tape-deck available if needed.
-Embedded Radio antenna in windscreen fully functioning with a clear boosted signal to Blaupunkt head-unit.
-Radiator replaced with OEM part imported from Germany. This was a rare and expensive part, but I didn't want to fit one of those cheap Aluminium aftermarket ones.
-Fuel pipes replaced
-Oil cooler replaced
-Bosch battery
-Bosch Aero wiper blades
-New speed and reference sensors
-New starter motor
-DME computer replaced
-New DME Relay
-New engine mounts
-Windscreen washer system fully refurbished with new pump, OEM hoses and valves.
-Refurbished instrument cluster with LED backlighting upgrade. See pictures.
-Porsche script door handles (rare)
-Hatch glass re-seated and low pressure struts added to stop delamination
-Rear wiper deleted. Original parts available if needed to revert back to stock.
-Full LED tail light upgrade.
-Toad AI606 Alarm and Immobiliser. Fully functional and has never given me any trouble with false alarms or refusing to disarm etc.
