1953 Jaguar XK120 SE DHC Barn Find Project.

This is an all numbers matching XK120 Drop Head Coupe, a straight and solid classic, it was imported from a dry State some years back and has been dry stored since too, in all it is a very worthy restoration project, with a very solid body and chassis (neither ever having signs of any welding or repairs), having had it up on my ramp here at home I can see there is a small hole in one of the battery trays, but other than that I am truly amazed at is condition for its age. The mechanicals of the vehicle all seem to be there, even down to the leather gaiters laced on to the rear springs, it is a true survivor car.
It does not have a fuel tank, and most of the interior fabrics and trim have been lost to time, but in all essence it is a fantastic project car. The clocks, gauges, centre dash, Fuel Pump and rear Fuel line to the tank are with the car in a box, the wooden Boot floors are missing and as you can see in the photos a front glass windscreen pane along with that sides screen chrome and centre vane are missing also. The seat frames are still in place as well as the battery box cover.
Come see the car, it may be looking a little sorry for itself and dusty from storage, but look through the dust and you'll find yourself a truly amazing and very solid and complete project car.
I'm a classic car owner, and have always been an XK enthusiast and I have been a Jaguar owner of many different models over many years and worked on many XK's as I trained as a coach builder fabricating XK Panels for years too, so I know a good car when I see one, and this is very good.
The car is priced to sell (in fact spend a little time and look up the cost of XK panels online these days to find just how important it is to find a good all round solid and original bodied car as a base in the beginning).
A superb winter project car for someone, if its a DHC XK120 you are looking for as a project, come take a look. The car is a Guernsey Registered vehicle here in St. Peter Port, so unless you live in Guernsey, the 12034 number plate will not come with the car, as it is a Guernsey use only registration...

Guernsey is easy to get to via plane and we are easily accessed by Ferry via UK or France so pick up via trailer is also an easy option for the buyer.
