The model shown is a January 1953 JAGUAR XK120 cabriolet in its period “Suede Green” colour. The coachwork has been recently restored by a specialist. On this occasion the body has also been given a complete new coat of paint. It is today in excellent presentation condition with a uniform finish and superb gloss. After a professional polish performed with an orbital polisher by our workshop, we noted a very light scratch at the top of the left front wing. The chromed bumpers and rub strips are perfectly aligned and in excellent condition. This example is equipped with fog lamps and tripod headlights at the front. The hood in black faux leather is in perfect condition. Its installation is easy and its seal remains compliant with era standards. This example is equipped with a mohair hood cover in beige. It is in good condition despite medium adjustment. The four 16’’ chromed wire wheels and their chromed JAGUAR knock-offs are in near-new condition. The whole will be fitted with four new tyres on delivery. This example retains its wooden knock-off key. Among the exterior equipment notes for this example: the beige mohair hood cover, Lucas fog lamps and front tripod headlights. Cabin: The interior has been completely reconditioned during the XK 120 restoration and is near-new. The Green leather upholstery and matching piping is in perfect condition. We noted a small nick on the passenger seat piping. The Green leather door panels and walnut veneer are in excellent condition. The dashboard is also in excellent condition and the entire instrument cluster is fully functional. The 4-spoke JAGUAR bakelite steering wheel is in good order. The bakelite gear knob is in excellent condition, without cracks or wear. The Green carpeting to match the upholstery is near-new. Among the interesting cabin fittings: Green leather upholstery and walnut veneer dashboard. Chassis: The ramp-on test confirms a sound chassis and body, with no visible structural corrosion. Fundamentals: ladder frame chassis, floors, longitudinals, sills and wheel arches are in perfect condition. Usage reserve: as a rule we cannot guarantee perfection of alignments beyond their good visual and functional state validated on road testing and ramp inspection. During the dynamic test, we did not notice any abnormal rattle from the body or running gear (ball joints, bushings...). Braking is aligned and its effectiveness is as original. Front discs show less than 30% wear. Front pads show less than 40% wear. Rear drums are fully functional and free from seepage.
