Description
This 56 Chevy was imported to the UK in 2014 and has 2 UK owners. The truck is almost totally original it has never been repainted or welded. Just the roof grill and front bumper have been painted .
The interior metal has been repainted and the seat reupholstered.
The exterior is original and has been clear coated to protect the original patina. Even the timber rear deck is the factory original. It drives very very well and easily keeps up with every day traffic and hills do not slow it down. Once you get used to the steering box it’s a joy to drive.
I’m selling it on behalf of the owner who has sold his country home and now lives solely in Centrol London. He has owned it since 2014 and has detailed invoices for mechanical works carried out to correctly maintain the truck with long term ownership in mind, with Over £4000 of invoices, quality tyres, waterless coolant LED rear lighting etc.
the perfect thing for trips to the tip, the pub and towing your race car to Goodwood or LeMans. If I can’t find a new owner I will buy it myself it’s such fun. Sadly no history from America except that it was clearly from a Southen dry state and very well looked after. It also has a hand made rear bumper designed to allow farm workers to stand on the bumper to save walking to the fields, in the days before health and safety had been invented.
