After 20 years I am selling my VW Beetle 1500, the previous owner bough her new- 36 years before, from the Eastleigh Dealership, in December 1969. She is an Original Unmolested example in Diamond Blue (L50B), she still has her original Radio Delete Blanking Plate fitted, Original interior, Original ‘Oil Bath’ type air filter, Original floor pans (in Good Condition), Original Jack etc,. she has the dealer option of a nearside door mirror fitted, all round an Original ‘Time Capsule’ example,….. only non original fitments are Stainless Steel Running Boards instead of Steel (same mounting points)Accessories fitted after my purchase were a Radio, Reversing Light and Fog light,- the switches for these and the radio are mounted ‘Under’ the dashboard on a bracket- therefore without defacing the dashboard/ bulkhead to preserve its Originality. (Thus they can also be easily removed, with no obvious sign they were ever there) She runs and drives through all gears smoothly and stops! She was my daily driver for the first four years, after that only occasional use, of late with a family started I just don’t get to use her. I would love to put her back into pristine condition, however circumstances now realistically mean it’s time to let her go to a new home. As is popular nowadays she could be ‘Clear Coated’ and run as as a survivor or respray and again keep her totally original inside,… or if you have the ability and want to put your mark on her making her ‘yours’, a very ’light’ restoration with little hard/ complicated work is all that’s needed A very structurally sound example of a Rare, 1 Previous Owner Car. Sold as seen and needing some recommissioning work before use on a public road, …our road is a Private one and she can be test driven on that before purchase - any inspection welcome
