Mk 1 Mgb Roadster with Heritage Shell . Purchased From Mgb Dealer on 14/ 01/ 2014 who recommissioned the car after being laid up for a long period of time and used as a their personal car .
The car benefits from having a Heritage Shell , 5 Bearing Engine , Reconditioned 4syncro gearbox with overdrive , banjo rear axle .
2016/ 2017 I stripped the car to change the paint colour from Flame Red to the correct colour for the year Tartan Red . Rebuilt with the following with replacement components new heavy duty clutch assembly/ gaskets to gearbox/ aluminium bonnet / galvanised front crossmember/ suspension / kingpins / front shocks/ steering rack / discs / wheel bearings front / callipers / rear shoes / drums / refurbished master cylinders / rebuilt differential / new fuel tank / new gauge / original bumpers purchased and re chromed all chrome items re chromed / windscreen re anodised / new glass to doors / replacement carpets / door trims / dash top trim / kick plates to cills / seat professionally refurbished with original covers refitted replacement hood / Waxoyled / full documented service history with all receipts / Heritage certificates for car and body shell . There is probably loads I have missed but can forward full details of all work undertaken if required. Current mileage shown as 59554 has always been garaged never used in the wet and is reluctantly only looking for a new caring home due to my age and ongoing health conditions.
Two small points there is a very small dent on the alloy bonnet really difficult to see and a small amount of damage to the passenger seat down by the hinge area about 20mm doesn’t show when the seat is up . A well cared for / well looked after and maintained Mk 1 Mgb . Wanted a mgb roadster for many years searched all over got fed up keep travelling and looking at rubbish ! Came across this with a heritage shell and managed to purchase it .
