Description
A 1966 Triumph Bonneville T120R which has matching engine and chassis numbers and has undergone a tasteful mechanical restoration including engine rebuild and new clocks back in 2009. The bike was shipped direct to the US in 1966 and was brought back to the UK in 2004 remaining under the same family ownership from 2009 - 2023. It has been used regularly for those Sunday afternoon jaunts covering 2, 500 miles in that time.
This Bonneville is in a rare White with Orange paint scheme complimented with gold pinstriping.
When I bought the bike, it was MOT’d and immediately had the rear shock absorbers replaced with a brand new set. The rear wheel bearing was also replaced and both carbs have been stripped and cleaned a few months ago.
I bought the bike from The Bike Specialists in Sheffield in April 2023, a very reputable dealer. The only issue, is that all the original paperwork was lost by the previous owner, as verified by the company mentioned above. I have the original HM Customs import certificate and V5c plus the MOT certificate from 2023. I haven’t had it MOT’d since as I haven’t done enough mileage. Legally, it doesn’t require one. I bought the bike because it was a long time ambition to own a 60’s Bonneville. Unfortunately, my circumstances now mean I don’t have time to use or work on the bike anymore.
The bike can be seen being ridden by Bike World Dream Rides
