Description
Long story short, I bought this as a project from a lady who had it sat in a garage for 12 years. I have been slowly recomissioning it as time and money allows but now the arrival of my holy grail of Land-Rovers means something has to give!
There is a large amount of history from when the car was new until I bought it, and in my ownership it has had the following:
Full service (summer 2024)
All belts and tensioners done - balance belt, cam belt, alternator belt, power steering belt (summer 2024)
Cam chain tensioner and cam cover gasket replacement (summer 2024)
New water pump and thermostat / system flush
New fuel pump / system flush
New battery
New bonnet struts
4x new Kumho tyres - included but not fitted
2x genuine Hella rear lenses to replace nasty smoked ones - included but not fitted
Genuine 3pc rubber rear spoiler to replace aftermarket fiberglass one - included but not fitted
The vehicle now runs, drives, starts and stops - drove it back from the garage after having the belts done and it certainly pulls as it should!
Known issues:
Both front wing bottoms rusty - repair panels included
Small bubbling on rear of drivers side sill - rest of sills are incredibly solid and appear original
Car gets hot quickly (though fans cut in ok and doesn't overheat) - have purchased a CSF race radiator and SPAL fan kit at a cost of just over £1000 - this will be included in sale for right price
Height adjustment for seats inop
Some gauges inop
The car is largely complete, all missing items in the photos are with vehicle, eg drivers seat, dash gauges and surround, dash cubby tray, spare wheel and jack, rear boot carpet (excellent condition but black). The interior is in mostly fantastic nick, a good clean of the carpets should see it like new - check out that uncracked dash!
Vehicle is available for viewing in Cornwall PL24 - offers welcome but obviously viewing is very much recommended first!
