Description
This is a Jaguar SS100 replica built in Ontario Canada 1985. It was exported to Budapest, Hungary in the 00s and was used in the making of a number of films. The original Jaguar SS100 was built between 1936 and 1939 and was the first Jaguar to reach 100mph, hence its name. This vehicle benefits from an all steel frame, full fibreglass body, fenders, hood, running boards etc. Excellent chrome front and rear bumpers and guards. It can also be used as a convertible with an excellent black vinyl top complimented with a crystal clear back window and zip up side curtains. The hard top can be completely removed to have a complete open top experience on those long lazy Summer evenings. Once the hard top is removed , both left and right doors including windows need to be removed. A solid oak dash complete with a GM 3-spoke wooden steering wheel are complimented with excellent right and left trim panels. Six 15" wire wheels (2-Spare) give the car its nostalgic look that makes it stand out from the crowd.
Professionally factory built on a Chevrolet Chevette chassis and drive train, suspension, steering and steering column and extended wheel base. This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of motoring history at a fraction of the price. If you want to have something different , this could be the car for you. Although, be prepared to be stopped everywhere you go by people wanting to know more about the car and its history. I have had a number of classics over the years but without exception, this must be the most photogenic car I have ever known. The car is now registered on an Irish plate.
