Description
For sale is my 1969 1500cc airride Beetle in lovely chinchilla grey with contrasting red interior. I have owned this Bug since 2020 and have been working and modifying it ever since.
It starts every time cold or hot and has always got me home with a big smile on my face.

Upgrades / Service items
New clutch and main oil seal done 2 years ago (only 1000 miles), all hub bearings replaced, engine/ gearbox mounts replaced. Engine Oil, air bath and plugs changed every new season regardless of the minimal miles done. Gearbox flushed and refilled at the start of 2025. New bonnet, engine lid and indicators rubber seals replaced. Drivers seat original "Horse Hair" style seat and back padding replaced.
Floors, heater channels and spare wheel well all good, under inspection only welding needed was inner patches at footwells which has been carried out and sealed. Please note this is no trailer princess, it gets driven and not a full nut bolt restoration beetle. The "Authentic Rust" has not got any worse in my pampered ownership. All locks work of the 1 key, and comes with a spare key (2 keys in total). Tax and MOT exempt.
If you don't like talking to people everywhere you go this is not the car for you. So may smiles, waves, horn tooting is unbelievable, especially when the Safari Window is open.
Car is based in Northern Ireland, and I can supply more images if required. Mileage will go up as car is still in use on dry days.
