Description

UPDATE: Looks like I'll have to buy her a Christmas present!
So many watchers & views, and yes.... STILL AVAILABLE... Yes I know there's loads out there for sale but how many fairly priced?
I've even dropped the price once as I need her to sell & she needs a loving new home!!! And I may haggle a small bit.
Having said that anyone know where I can get some cheap upgrades & mods done? At this rate i'll sell my Honda quicker & keep the Mog. Also anyone based in Epsom, Surrey that can offer a cheap garage? Maybe your old mum has an empty garage or drive? I can do some small gardening jobs in exchange even!!!!!!

I really shouldn't be keeping two cars where I live & she's only used once a week. So don't be afraid, make an enquiry. Thanks.

A solid example of a 1964 four door, 1098cc Moggy, with a history file of invoices dating back to the early 70’s.

MOT until June 2026.

Bought less than 2 years ago from Country Classic Cars & only used locally including a number of trips to Brooklands. Genuine reason for selling.

Upgrades include heated rear screen, inertia reel front seat belts, front brake disc conversion, electric washers. Wing mirrors removed & replaced with door mirrors giving a much better rear view in my opinion.
Recent rear brake cylinders, shoes replaced for MOT.
New gearstick floor rubber
Carpet recently removed & thoroughly cleaned & put back in with new underlay.
Noted when previously for sale:
Complete engine rebuild 2008 some 50k miles ago
Alternator conversion 2016
Recon gearbox and clutch kit fitted 2017
New front wings 2019
Replacement inner & outer rear wings 2020
Radiator re-core 2022
Engine mount, timing chain, thermostat 2022
Recent battery, fuel pump & 4 practically new tyres.
Over £8k on body & paint in the past 10 years
This ‘Moggie’ presents as well as it drives. Gear change is slick whilst the firm clutch bites at half travel.
Minimal play in the steering although there is an annoying little rattle?
This Minor does everything well & has certainly benefitted from the upgrades & care.

The exterior presents well as the admiring glances & comments have proven. The front has had a freshen up in recent years & so has the n/ s rear, leaving the o/ s & rear bumper panel showing a little more age. The chrome is largely original & at 60 years old presents some patina but certainly not requiring replacement. Obviously, the underside has received plenty of attention over the decades but it’s a solid example, any work that has been carried out has been done well.

The interior has wrinkle free door cards, recent underlay, fresh bolstering with both front seats so no sagging bums! The original roof lining features the odd blemish but many years left in it & the front parcel shelf was re-trimmed in 2020.

The slide out ashtrays have been removed but retained should the new owner want to replace them. All the gauges operate correctly & the heating system works excellently, not that it’s been needed that much lately but last winter it definitely kept us warm, demisted the screen nicely & there were no complaints.

The mileometer currently shows 57972 – only 240 miles done since I purchased the car! History indicates a replacement may well have been fitted around 2010. The V5 shows just 5 previous owners all of which can take great credit ensuring this Minor is still running around the southern counties.

Comes with a rather large history file, original owners & service books, Heritage Certificate & photographs of previous structural repairs.

Ready to be enjoyed immediately. This little Mog will see you through all the seasons, cheap to run, maintain, insure & no tax, what more do you want? Use as is & room to upgrade further if you want. Yes there’s many available to buy but how many require so much work, welding, mechanics, body work, etc? Parts are easy to find & usually readily available, won’t break the bank either, like some classics! A great starter classic or even a first car, it’s what I learnt & passed on!

Current pictures as well as original pictures from previous seller (thanks Country Classic Cars).
Please no time wasters, knock down price junkies (i've already dropped the price) or tyre kickers.
Might consider trade in/ part exchange against a decent on the road & healthy classic automatic American motor, open to discuss & subject to sale of my other car!
Contact PM or evenings. Please leave a clear message with name & number. Thanks very muchly. Why did I buy it then???

Having owned quite a few before & originally learnt to drive with an old split screen many years ago, I thought it'd be nice to return to one to go to local shows, Brookland days (being local) & days out.

It's an easy car to work on, practical with a great parts back up which are usually cheap compared for other classics. I felt this car to be beneficial not only for shows but for at times running around in.

It had a great history to show all the work that's been done in recent years & solid car for the future. Very reasonably price considering it's condition & previous work. A good gut feeling & good reason my buying it.

It's good for putting a smile on people's faces when out & about!

Unfortunately due to a blindsided break up I have been left with no garage facilities & only short term parking, hence the need for this little Moggy to find a new loving home ASAP.
