The Celebration was the limited edition 'final' XJS, fully loaded with lots of goodies like cruise control and the highest quality Rolls-Royce-grade leather trim with embossed headrests. It also has the hand-painted gold leaf enamel bonnet badge.
It features the later 240BHP Jaguar AJ16 4. 0 litre engine from the X300 – this is widely thought to be the best engine choice as it's almost as smooth as the V12 but twice as economical. Performance isn't far off, either.
Lovely condition throughout – the last (lady) owner kept it for most of its life in a heated, carpeted garage! Only 3 previous owners. Paint is near perfect, wheel arches are superb and clean, the underside is solid. There's just one small paint 'bubble' about the size of a child's fingernail (shown). The interior is mint with very light wear to the driver's seat - all other seats, carpets and headlining are practically unmarked.
Silky engine and gearbox. Well maintained with 2 recent new front Bilstein B6 shocks, 4 new rear Bilstein B6 shocks. New rear radius arms, new brake discs and pads front and rear, new battery. Recent full service with engine oil change, autobox oil change, rear diff oil, brake fluid, coolant, etc. This car is one of the nicest XJSs you'll find, and drives beautifully with no apparent faults. The engine revs freely, the autobox is silky and there's no rear diff whine. The brakes are excellent. It's been well serviced and there are no apparent engine fluid leaks. The fitted alloy wheels are near perfect, and shod with nearly new Continental tyres. The car is fitted with a high quality Pioneer CD player.
