1999 Toyota RAV4 Giant – Rare Red, Manual, 137k Miles
Up for sale is my 1999 Toyota RAV4 Giant in red, with a manual gearbox and 137, 740 miles.
The RAV4 Giant is an extremely rare UK-only special edition – with only around 150 ever made and just 30 still on the road today, making it a true collectible and a future classic. It was even featured on Hagerty’s 2025 Bull List as one to watch.
This car comes with an excellent service history and is in full running and driving order. The previous owner daily drove it, and since owning it I’ve taken it on a few longer journeys without issue. It’s been reliable every time.
I originally bought it as a project to convert into a Greenlaner, but after learning how rare the Giant edition is, it felt wrong to modify it – so it’s mostly been sitting unused.
Condition:
• Fully runs and drives.

Known issue:
The only fault is a fuel tank leak, which slowly drips. I have sourced a replacement fuel tank and filler neck, which I will include as an optional extra for the new owner – I just haven’t had the time to get it fitted.

With the replacement parts fitted, it’ll be ready to enjoy for years to come. I already own another RAV4, but I wanted a manual Giant because it takes you back to a time when cars were built to be fun, simple, and engaging. My favourite thing about this classic is how it feels to drive. There’s a character to it that modern cars simply don’t have – the manual gearbox makes it engaging, the size makes it nimble, and it still carries that tough, dependable Toyota DNA. Every time I drove it, it felt like a little adventure, even on a normal road.
