Classic Mini Clubman 1340cc Hillclimb & Sprint Car For Sale Massive Spec. & Valuable Registration (£1000) Track Day Car
For sale my Hillclimb & Sprint Car, class 3A. Still Road Registered as a 1275cc, Tax & MOT Exempt, I have had the numberplate valued at £1000 (see image). Could be used on the road as a fun car as is but its raw and rorty with very stiff suspension and a straight cut gearbox and a bulkhead box for a bigger carb so loud, however, it is pretty much ready to chuck out onto the track whether for a Hillclimb event or a track day.
I am happy to deal on just the engine/ gearbox or the rolling shell etc please talk to me.

Located at Hednesford WS12 on the very edge of Cannock Chase, car is up for 8995 and is a great competition spec. as per below. Just had massive spend with all these parts fitted in the last month, performance distributor and viper coil with new plug leads, brand new steering rack and track rod ends, new upper and lower ball joints, stabiliser bar bushes, radiator (front mount conversion), coolant tank, silicone coolant hoses, oil and filters/ spark plugs, water pump, thermostat, new clutch and cylinder, new brake pads, brake fluid, engine mounts, fan belt etc
I have also just put a brand new Fibreglass Bonnet and Bootlid on (old ones were distressed), exterior paint has been recently refreshed in Pageant Blue, nowhere near concours perfect but more than adequate for a competition car and will polish up better, also just had new decals professionally put on by Mike from Optimal Graphics so it really looks the part.
Full 6 point roll cage including dash bar, behind seat bar and door bars, Cobra Seats and TRS Harnesses (seats and harness aged but still ok for Hillclimb/ Sprints), OMP steering Wheel, Kill Switch, all lines and cables run inside the car.
Minispeed 6”x10” Split rims with recent dated Yokohama A032R Semi Slick (MSUK List 1B) Tyres, sits on Gaz Coilovers all round, Beam Rear Axle, 4 Pot Minisport Front Calipers with 7. 9” Vented Discs and Bias brake cylinder set up with adjustable controller in the car, Minifin rear Drums, Perspex (Polycarb) Glass all round (apart from windscreen), group 5 wheel arches with rear arches cut out allowing the parcel shelf is an alloy one and boot floor also cut out and replaced with alloy panel for lightness. Facet Electric Fuel Pump and Filter King Regulator. Quick Shift Gear Linkage, Tie Rods and Lower Arms fully adjustable up front and camber brackets on rear too. Fully stripped out inside
1340cc Engine – Stage 4 Head, Large Valves, Kent 286 Camshaft & Vernier gear, 1:5 ratio roller rockers, HIF44 SU Carb, Oil Cooler, Lightweight Steel Flywheel, Jack Knight Straight Cut Gearbox etc Maniflow centre exit exhaust – recorded 94Db at Curborough so well within noise limits for UK tracks
Was originally built some years ago and is still ok now, my plan was to fully paint and treat the underneath and also tidy up the inside over this winter ready for next season but a change of plans means the Mini will be little used, I have 2 other Minis also and hope to get my 1970 finished for use. I don’t really need to sell this one but it’ll sit in storage for ever and a day out the way and forgotten about and that doesn’t do them any good.
Will want a wheel alignment and a rolling road session in near future to get the best out of it. Starts on the button - immediate start Hot or Cold. As well as painting underneath probably wants a plate on passenger front corner of floor at some point, easy enough as its stripped out. Car is all solid apart from this little bit.
I may put it into an event at Curborough next month if not sold in the meantime so will update the advert accordingly.
