Description
This is my Peugeot 205 GL 1. 1L petrol 1991.
MOT, lasts till February 2026.
I have the V5c, only comes with one key. Comes with a steering lock as well with one key.
I've owned this car for just over a year and its been a fantastic car. Got it whilst my other car was getting fixed as I needed something to drive about.
The Peugeot has no ABS, no airbags and no power steering. It has a blue tooth radio with a USB port. I've installed a cupholder as the car never came with one, if you don't like it you can just unscrew it.
The Peugeot sits on a set of classic Peugeot GTI alloys, 15 by 7 inch. I got them as the stock wheels (14 by 5 inch) are very thin and small and the GTI wheels make a far better drive. I got new tyres for the GTI alloys six months ago and haven't driven the car a whole lot so the tyres are in very good condition and will last a long time as the car is so light. The original rims and tyres will be provided with the car as well as the fitted GTI alloys.
It is a very solid car for its age, yes it rattles and creaks as you drive it but it has hardly any rust the sills and arches are in amazing condition.
Since I've had it I've installed a new cv boot, rear shocks, rear suspension bushing, engine mount bushings, new brake discs in front and in the last few months I've installed new brake pads in the front and lower control arms. changed the oil and replaced the transmission fluid.
I've also installed some sound deadening under the seats and made a boot lid as the car never came with one. It does have a minor oil leak but the oil level hasn't gone down so I haven't worried about it.
When I got the car the previous owners said it was in a minor crash, that's why it has two odd doors on the passengers side, other than that nothing is bent or broken from it. Paint overall is pretty impressive for the age apart from a marked area on the bonnet. - See photos.
Car currently has 107, 200 miles on the clock.
I have the original hand book, radio and a folder with receipts and some service history's.
Pick up is Peterstow ross on wye, HR96LFFor anyone who loves old classics this is a perfect car. It starts OK, and runs well and is reliable. The choke took some getting used to, but only because I wasn't used to manual chokes.
