Description
Fully restored over 2 yrs from last nut and bolt grit blasted chassis.(photos )Uk supplied to Car Mart London on 25 January 1958. Original RHD. Then travelled to USA and imported to UK by me in March 2015. Full photo restoration over a few years that was finished during Covid. Longbridge spec car, engine painted morris green (not usual steel dust grey) this was done for a few months, as described in Healeysix. net. Full engine rebuild, rebore. (Makes it about 2750cc) 12 port head. Pistons , fast road Welch cam, 6 branch big bore stainless exhaust, alloy radiator. Alternator. These upgrades downgraded it to 2 nd place at Austin Healey Club national concours. previous NEC exhibit. Ukcarevents show winner. Matching numbers. repaint on all original panels. New chrome. new leather trim and carpets. New red tonneau, new black hood. White hardtop. Too many other new parts to list. tool kit, owners handbook. Heritage cert. Needs nothing. Test drive with pleasure. No disappointments here. Too good to auction. I bought this from a hobby dealer in the USA I have had 3 Healeys from him and have won the Austin Healey sprint and hillclimb championship in the 100/ 4 I bought from him. I have fully rebuilt 4 big Healeys after a lifetime in the motor trade and still have 3 of them. Due to my wife’s disability she cannot ride in the 100/ 6 any more. I am selling this to buy a classic with big “armchair “ seats - ( rover p5 b, jag mk 11?)Drives just as it should, the fast road cam gives it a boost in mid revs which is nice to experience. Overdrive obviously. The car rides and presents very well . The proverbial-must be seen to appreciate
