This 'hot hatch' GTI variant of the Rover Metro, in British Racing Green with 1396cc K-Series 16-valve engine and half-leather interior, had been in a private collection and off the road from 2008 to 2022.
In 2023 the car was treated to a new cambelt, oil and filter, and rear brake cylinders, with an invoice for the commissioning work totalling over £700. Registered in May 1993, the Rover has had four previous registered keepers and its odometer shows circa 39, 000 miles which can be largely warranted from the available history. The paperwork file includes the V5C and book pack with owner's handbook, dealer directory, radio code, quick guide, and radio instructions. There's the current MoT certificate plus a print-out of the online summary from 2008 to 2006, along with the certificates from 2008 and 2006 to 2002. The invoices date from 2007 back to 1994, when the Metro was sold via Mann Egerton as a one-year-old secondhand car. In addition, there is a 1994 Metro brochure, price list and colours and trims catalogue. Being a lux pack GTi the car comes with electric windows, half leather silverstone interior (that is absolutely immaculate) and opening rear windows.
The car has also recently had a new fuel pump fitted via the correct method of dropping the rear subframe etc…
I can’t keep them all and being the lux pack this is an ever rarer car to find.
