I’m selling on behalf of my elderly neighbour whose son owned the car.
I pulled it out of a dry garage where it had lain dormant for 6 years or so and carried out some light recommissioning- servicing/ brakes to get it back on the road. As you can see from the photographs this car has undergone a FULL RESTORATION and in my opinion the restoration was very recent prior to it being parked up.
You can still see a sticker on the exhaust system and the underside is unbelievably good with no evidence I can tell of any welding- the floorpans/ underside look like new and it has had light wax oil applied.
Subframes are perfect with no corrosion. The car may even have been re-shelled it really is that good underneath! I don’t know a lot about minis but everywhere you tend to see minis suffering on door pillars or floors etc- this one is near perfect condition- solid and looking completely restored everywhere!
From what I can tell it has upgraded suspension from standard to coilover suspension front and rear which gives it tremendous handling capability and still very comfortable with 12inch unmarked Supalight Alloy Wheels and matching Falken Tyres
The 1275cc engine is pokey and very responsive with a single SU Carburetor. Runs lovely and the 4sp Auto changed effortlessly smooth.
It has a fancy stereo and speaker system in it along with some stickers (which I expect can all be removed to suit differing tastes)
As mentioned the car has clearly had a complete restoration carried out on it, so I’ve tried to price it as fairly as possible. I would expect it could easily have had tens of thousands spent on it!
Arrangements can be made to allow you to view it on a ramp if it would assist. I’ve tried to take some photos of the underside for info. Note- this is exactly as it came out of the garage- the bonnet and underside have not been cleaned!
The interior is in excellent order and has nice piping on the seats. New carpets and new roof lining, with wooden steering wheel.
The bodywork is in excellent condition as you can see from the photographs. There will be minor imperfections if you look very closely but these in my opinion are very minor!
Just been sent for MOT and came back with full clean bill of health- NO ADVISORIES!
