1967 Double Door Dormobile.
After nearly 20 years of ownership, it is now time to sell my much loved 1967 split camper.
Originally a Swedish LHD Double Door Micro-Bus. I have over the years, converted it to RHD and added an original Golde Sunroof. All works were carried out by Dave Clarke (The Wizard) at “Airwerx”. I have used all original German VW metal, as in, RHD chassis rails and pedal work. No after market parts. Also attention to detail by converting the front seats to RHD too with the correct original fittings and seat runners. Including RHD dash. The sunroof install has also had the all important Samba inner sky-light panels welded in as per original sunroof bus and to add strength.
Making this bus a unique ONE OF.
The paint is 90% original paint, as it left the factory so there is no hidden nasties, you see exactly what you are getting. I also converted it from a Micro-Bus to a camper using 100% original Dormobile metal kitchen and Dormatic multi function seats, which fold flat to give a 6ft long double bed or 2 x single beds.
I must add, there are only about a handful of Volkswagen splitscreens known with FULL Dormobile interior.
Everything works on this bus and I last took it to Le Mans in June 2023 and this year too for its last farewell celebrating Le Mans 100th anniversary.
Extras added to the bus, propex heater, Servo, split charger. Cab door cards are NOS, yes, NOS. And recently fitted. All other salt n pepper panels are 100% original and in excellent condition. Westfalia curtain rails fitted also. Front salt n pepper seat covers are TMI. Also fitted are Creative Engineering Safari windows. And they DO NOT LEAK. High Torque new starter motor.
