Description

This 1964 Mini Countryman has had an exceedingly high end restoration to an award winning standard. Full body off new parts fitted, full nut and bolt rebuild even down to a reconditioned steering wheel, this is a stunning example. It has photographic evidence of the restoration from start to finish. It has had just 3 former keepers from new. The vehicle comes with the original bill of sale of £564. 12. 6 dated 20-03-1964, invoice shows delivery charge, number plates, road fund licence, antifreeze, this is indeed a nice touch to have a car with its original bill of sale document. It also comes with its original buff log book, with the 2nd owner who purchased the car on the 2nd of may 1972. Eric and Anna Oakes, who used it as a family car until 1984. The mini is original without any modifications, except for a 12v power outlet which I installed under the dashboard, for mobile phone charging; sat nav etc. The car was put in a shed for 30 years and was taken out for restoration in 2014 and completed in 2016 by Midnight Classic minis in Lincoln. The mini has had a complete body off restoration being put back together using as many original parts as possible. The car body, doors, floor, front subframe and steering etc are all original. Front wings have been replaced the original engine and gearbox have been refurbished. The underside of this Mini countryman is in an as new condition. There is no rust whatsoever. Also underneath, we have a stainless steel exhaust fitted. After 44 years of ownership by the previous owner, this mini countryman is back on the road, and, according to the DVLA only 86 of this model have survived, alas, not in this stunning condition. This 1964 Austin Mini Countryman, is a showcase of timeless style with estate car convenience. Finished in Almond green with flawless timberwork and paintwork, this is a rare opportunity to purchase a countryman of this exceptional quality. So why not make a statement on the road in one of the coolest ways possible. Viewing is highly recommended and welcome. I doubt there is another one like this. I have taken this to a few classic car shows recently, and this was the only one of this model there. This vehicle is in top condition. There is now a new MOT which is valid until 24/ 08/ 2026, without any advisories. This vehicle is in a near perfect condition. There is nothing that needs doing to it other than to drive and enjoy it. It certainly turns heads and leads to coversations when out and about. It has a real charm about it and never fails to have positive comments made about it. In local shows i've recently attended, it was the only one of its kind present, due to the rarity of this model. It never fails to put a big smile on my face when out and about in it.
