Here we have for sale my 4. 0 Red Rose 2002 Mk1 TVR Tamora. It’s finished in near immaculate Spectraflair Silver paintwork with a lovely grey interior that compliments the car really well. I personally think the service history that comes with this car is as good as it gets, it has had a TVR specialist service every year regardless of mileage, I have both the Service book stamps and invoices for all the servicing and repair work.
. Bodywork History
In 2012 it had a very comprehensive full body work strip down and full repaint by Surface and Design in Blackpool, this was done to a really high standard in Spectraflair Silver, the paintwork still looks stunning 13 years later, no doubt partly due to the PPF that was applied to the front end, Sills, Mirrors and rear boot lip.
At the same time a full leather interior re-trim, re-carpet and hood replacement were completed by D&C trim in Blackpool and as part of the retrim all new seals were fitted around the car and a new windscreen was installed. It really is stunning to look at, the paintwork is still immaculate aside from a few unavoidable small stone chips outside of the PPF coverage area.
Mechanical History
In 2007 @23k miles the engine was rebuilt by Dulford Automotive to a 4. 0 red rose specification with all new internals along with forged rods. The car happily ran like this until 2018 when @ 58k miles the engine was diagnosed with low compression on one cylinder, the car was Sent to Jason at Str8six and a full top end rebuild was completed to Str8six’s latest 4. 0s specification. The car also features a lovely looking carbon fibre airbox and a full HID headlight kit has been fitted in place of the original specification candles :)
Most recent non service mechanical work includes a new clutch, slave and flywheel which was fitted by Central TVR only 3k miles ago
The car is fitted with unmarked Dark Silver Bola B1 alloys in the correct TVR fitment, I loved these wheels as a nice alternative to the spiders. The cars original spiders finished in gloss black will be included with the car. 4 new Continental ContiSport tyres were also fitted a few months ago. The car is fitted with later specification Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs
It is also fitted with a sports back box which sounds fantastic and creates all the right pops and bangs a TVR should.
The Chassis is in great condition and not showing signs of rot, it has been coated at regular intervals with waxoyl and it has done its stuff,. I’ve added a photo of the chassis and you can see while it’s not nice and clean a few days of hard graft with some cleaning solution would fix that should you want the clean chassis look.
