As close to a new Maestro as you can get. One of the last Rover Maestros with just 5, 100 miles from new, finished in Midnight Blue (JQW/ 899) with Sports Crayon half velour grey interior.
Concours winner, the bodywork is free from rust, scratches, dings or marks of any description, having been detailed for show displays. The interior is free from any of the usual Rover plastic distortion having been always garaged and kept out of the sun. The dashboard even wears its factory & very rare rubber mat on the top.
Pre-registered in Jan 2001 to Ledbury Garages who famously bought up the last 600 from the then ailing Rover Group that were originally earmarked for Bulgaria but never left the UK. The first owner cherished it for 19yrs, wearing a very expensive personal plate costing more than the car. Two more collector enthusiasts have subsequently owned covering just 1000 miles between them. Extensive service history and paperwork come with the car. The interior still even smells like it just left the Rover factory!
Due to the extremely low mileage, the 5speed gearbox (Rover used the one from a mk1 Golf no less!) is tight and precise. Recently serviced including a carb clean and adjustment, this little Rover purrs along effortlessly.
Long Mot and matching branded tyres all round, any inspection is welcome as I guarantee this is the very best you’ll find. Located just off jct6 of the A1M in Hertfordshire.
