Description

Ford Puma 1. 7
Registered January 2001
99, 000 miles
MoT March 2026
V5 in my name.

Bodywork & exterior.
The Puma has Moondust silver paintwork. It appears it has never had any paintwork nor welding and is completely solid with no rot and is a very good example of an honest car with solid rear arches.
There are obvious blemishes to the paintwork with stone chips to the bonnet and various scratches & scuffs around the car, notably the tailgate area where it appears there are fine scratches possibly caused by a car cover.

All four alloys are the earlier desirable fanblade style which are in immaculate condition along with four tyres with loads of tred.

The spare (Underslung) is a metal sytle wheel however I have an additional fanblade alloy with no tyre included in the sale.

Interior
The Puma has a heated front windscreen, electric windows and mirrors and the standard Ford radio/ CD player. It has remote central locking and two fully functioning keyfobs, one of which is quite new.
Front & rear seats are in immaculate condition with no stains or tears. The heater works as it should with no issues which sometimes arise with Pumas.
Also comes with original OEM Ford Puma mats.
Air conditioning that works very efficiently and super cool after a recent check including a service & regas with new condenser fitted September 2024. (Essential for the glorious summer)

Engine & gearbox
The Puma has the desirable 1. 7 16v engine, co developed with Yamaha which runs beautifully. The all important cambelt & waterpump has been replaced in November 2024 at 97, 000 miles.
The 5 speed gearbox in the Puma is one of the most crisp changing gearboxes of that era, this is precise and slick and adds to the utter addictive nature of driving this Puma.

The car has regularly been serviced in my ownership, the last being June 2025 at 98, 000 miles with all the filters changed including the fuel filter.

History
There isn’t a massive amount of history with the car however since my ownership everything has been documented and all invoices have been kept showing every penny spent including a good quality indoor car cover as the car is always garaged and not driven in the wet. The cover is also included in the sale. It has clearly been cherished but nonetheless used. Dinitrol treatment underside including the arches after removal & refitting of the Ford arch liners.

This very Puma has featured as a test on YouTube with Matt Richardson from “Furious driving”
Overall this is a great usable Ford Puma. Its not a show queen however its not rotten like a lot of Pumas and is utterly reliable and is sure to go up in value like most popular classic Fords.

Car is located near Swindon.
