Original Ford Motorsport prepared S1400 Puma VK14 Homologation Kit Car
European Puma Challenge Championship winning car , Multiple Class wins and built in1999 for the use of Simon Mauger.
Subsequently Upgraded to full S1400 ( 6 speed sequential , all developmental upgrades ) by Chris Birbeck
A highly competitive 1400 rally car with a freshly rebuilt engine , gearbox and proflex adjustable dampers. Original history and competition log books.
Engine :
VK14 spec 1400cc kit car engine
Recently rebuilt with no competitive hours by MAAS with new liners, forged pistons, bearings, bolts etc . All invoiced
Dyno tested and mapped with modified Pectel ECU
Transmission :
Freshly rebuilt Hewland PCT 6 speed sequential ( S1600 spec)
New final drive pinion and crwonwheel
Replacement gear pairs as required
New upgraded diff body and bearings
New Hewland intermediate shaft
New trip joints and CV joints
New Tilton clutch and correct spring pressure
New release bearing
All invoiced
Suspension :
Proflex 3 way adjustable dampers freshly rebuilt with new springs and seals
Tarmax and gravel spring set ups
New front hub bearings
Brakes :
S1600 Alcon front callipers and alloy belled discs
Bias Pedal Box
Belts and extinguisher in date , rally computer , peltor intercom, emergency equipment etc etc
Underside prepared and new kevlar protectors fitted
