1994 Mk1 Citroen Xantia 2. 0ltr SX Petrol Auto
Starts, runs and drives very well with no untoward characteristics, noises, smoke or drama - The suspension works exactly as it should.
Recent work carried out.
- Full engine service, including Oil / Filters / Plugs
- New Replacement Cambelt / Tensioner / Waterpump
- Coolant flush & renew
- New front suspension spheres, all others tested and are fine
- Fitted a set of newly refurbished Xantia VSX alloys with new tyres (I have the original steels with excellent tyres and the original trims if required)
- Replaced headlights and front indicators
- Replaced all windscreen wipers
- Fixed the height adjustment on the drivers seat
The bodywork and exterior are very tidy for a car of it’s age, there are minor mark and scratches here and there and the paint on the hatchback lid has been repaired at some point.
The interior is original and in very good order with almost no damage, it’s certainly all present and free from any major blemishes, for a 30 year old Citroen it is remarkable! It has 4 electric windows and an electric sunroof all in full working order. It has the original Citroen Radio that is in useable and in working order although the speakers are a bit tired. I’ve not tried the cassette player? The central locking works fine from both front doors but unfortunately the remote button doesn’t, I have two keys both of which are functioning, complete and in tidy condition (I know?). Fan blower & heater, all lights etc also work fine. The wonderfully period but extremely annoying key-pad immobilizer has been bypassed and hidden under a piece of very tasteful wood trim by the previous owner. I was assured that it could be reactivated if required..
I have owned this car 3 times, 7-8 years ago first and bought it back of the guy I sold it to and have all the above work done to refresh it. Then earlier this year a friend bought if from me as a stop gap and I have just since re-acquired it! I had been planning on keeping it but it’s unlikely it’ll get that much use so I’m offering it for sale.
I have 2 keys, the car has covered just over 95k miles and has MOT until February 2026. I have a book pack, owners manual & service book with many stamps, invoices, old tax discs etc. Plenty of history and the condition drive and recent work do rather speak for themselves.
