The car was restored to a very good standard a few years ago and is still in great condition.
After lying idle for 6 years, I recommissioned it, doing the following:
Reconditioned the gearbox (receipted, £800)
Skimmed fly wheel, new clutch and ring gear
New front brake pistons/ seals
New rear brakes
New brake master and clutch slave
Replaced brake hoses
Reconditioned steering rack/ rods
Stainless steel exhaust
Underlay carpet set
Welded floorplan
New tyres
New battery
Full engine service
... plus much more!
Full list of works is available upon request. For a 50 year old Marina it still looks good, despite having the usual age-related dings! It certainly isn't a trailer queen! It still has a good shine to it.
