For Sale: One of a kind 1989 Citroën 2CV6 Special – Fully Restored | Pete Sparrow Engine | Strengthened Galv Chassis and Body
I'm offering for sale my fully restored and freshly painted 1989 Citroën 2CV6 Special — a truly cherished car that’s been rebuilt to a high standard with a number of carefully selected upgrades. I’m only sadly selling due to a move to Germany, where importing a right-hand drive French classic no longer makes sense.
This is a properly sorted 2CV that blends originality with intelligent enhancements for performance, durability, and safety.
Chassis & Body:
Fitted with a highly sought-after “Ken Hanna” SLC one of a kind galvanised chassis
Includes custom-built strengthening tubes for added crash protection, especially from the side.
Double sectioned sills with reinforcing bracing across the floors, again for added crash protection.
3 point rear seatbelt upgrade
Fresh, professional respray – the car looks fantastic, over 7k was spent on paint and prep alone...! Body was removed and painted inside and out, with black stonechip on the underside of the floors.
Fully restored bodywork with completely replaced rear third with zinctec steel panels from ECAS - c pillar, seat box, boot floor, light panel, rear sweeps, inner wings.

Engine & Performance:
Professionally rebuilt Pete Sparrow engine
Lightened flywheel, custom camshaft, and Dyane piston upgrades provide noticeably improved acceleration, power, and top speed whilst still retaining the charm and drivability of a classic 2CV. Even with the extra weight of the safety upgrades, this car can outperform a standard 2cv
Yellow Harley Coil and electronic ignition - I have never had issues with this car starting.
Newer, high quality engine breather/ oil filler unit

Starts on the button, drives reliably, and gets plenty of attention wherever it goes
Garaged since restoration
Roof and seats haven't been replaced or recovered due to being such a buyer's preference item on colour/ style. Seats are still in reasonable condition - foams and rear seat cover replaced in 2011 but the roof could do with gluing or replacing, therefore the cost will INCLUDE the new roof of material and colour of the buyer's choice.
