UPDATED 23/ 11/ 25 !! Garage find 2CV !! Well not really as it wasn't lost!!
My relative bought this car years ago and since then it has never left his garage!! He now wants the space!!
Last on the road in 2019, the odometer is reading somewhere around 52500 which is genuine if you search the old MOT's, the bodywork is very good and not rotten at all, the chassis is galvanised. This 2CV Charleston is a great and easy recommission job over winter, it's solid and does not require any welding, the chassis has been replaced at some point with the all important galvanised one, it's a project just because he now wants the space, these cars are super easy to work on and as it does not need welding would suit a novice and/ or aspiring classic car owner. I've got it running today (23/ 11/ 25) and had a closer look at the body, apart from some paint crazing it is remarkably solid, I've checked the boot and floors..... all good. I have driven the car before it went into hibernation and it drove well, I can therefore vouch for it being ok mechanically.
It's got super potential for the right buyer who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg and/ or precious time welding and chasing rust
It needs going through mechanically and a good polish, if you look closely at the picture of the rear quarter, I gave it a quick polish to see what it was like, it will come up very nice indeed.
