Description
This was imported from a collection of bikes that were in a museum in the Isle of Man, it was owned by a Know South African GP rider who’s museum it was
It originally was Japanese imported to South Africa then to IOM, I then got it uk registered. Now tax and mot exempt, also being a 50, you can ride without a CBT if you have an older license on “grandad rights”
The bike is in great condition, the plastics are very near perfect as is the tank and frame, the seat had a puncture hole from another bikes handle bar but has been replaced.
It starts very easily, usually first or second kick, goes through the gears well, it’s an unrestricted bike so pulls my not 16 anymore load around with ease
It shows a little patina mostly on the wheels, but are solid and present well enough it could easily be brought up to a very high condition.
Everything works as it should except the speedo, even when pushing it out the garage it reads 20/ 40 kph,, I suspect it’s been like this for a long time as the mileage doesn’t reflect in its condition
It’s a rare thing being the water cooled versionI bought this as my big brother had one when he turned 16, being a few years younger I was just a bit jealous, he was good enough to let me “borrow” it from him on occasion…
