Description
Genuine Lotus MK VI Chassis No. 66 is a 1954 model.
Built as a club racer and raced until around 1960/ 61 when it was converted to a road car.
Loads of history and documentation for the car, original log books, racing history, photo's and restoration invoices, documents and photo's. The car can be validated on provenance by the VI Registrar at the Historic Lotus Register.
The car (like most of MK VI's) has a Ford 100E side valve engine (1172cc), this was selected to qualify for the 1172 series races during the 50's and Lotus' first aim when putting the MK VI into production.
I reimported No. 66 back to the UK in 2015. As I purchased the car shortly after a chassis up rebuild I had some work done by Belcher Engineering (Suffolk), who did a great job recommissioning.
