Selling my 1993 Renault Clio RT. It is a 3 door 1. 4. I simply don't use it enough and no inside space to store it. Which is a shame as there are not many of these about and it is a joy to drive when I get the chance.
The car has MOT until April 2026 and is low mileage at 38500 (might go up a little). The car and I are located in East Edinburgh - I can collect you from a local train station.
The Car runs and drives well when I do use it, when I do use it there is a mix of longer and shorter runs. It has a reasonable service history - dealer stamps up to 2006 and MOTs up to 2009 when it was off the road in storage. The receipts for all work since going back on the road in March 2021. All the MOTs are present and will verify the mileage too. I bought the car privately a little over 3 and a half years ago and drove it 200 miles home.
The car is in very good condition, not perfect though. There are a couple of scratches that won't polish out. Some strange staining on the door pockets that I haven't figured out how to remove. The Blower fan only runs on the top setting, though the airflow in the car is good so it I rarely needed to use it - I try not to use it on cold wet days anyway! The Sunroof does not leak, but has a rattle on rough roads. The central locking works, but not the remote - I know the key doesn't work, but have not had the receiver checked.
During my ownership I replaced the timing belt, pulleys and water pump in 2022. I replaced the flexi-hoses on the brakes, brake fluid and front pads in 2023 and have had the car serviced with each MOT. There is a New-old-stock NS wing mirror included, 4 spare wheel trims and a selection of mudflaps and small spares. Also a generic Halfords "winter" car cover.
The car is eligible for FoTU and qualifies for Classic Car insurance. It is LEZ compliant in Cities in Scotland and a number of other UK locations too - but you should check if your location counts.

The care was dealer serviced up until 2006, there is no history for 2006 to 2009, but it was not presented for MOT after 2009 until March 2021.
I bought the car in May 2022 and drove it home to Edinburgh a trip of over 200miles. Since then I have had the Timing belt, waterpump and pulleys replaced. Replaced the brake flexi-hoses and front brake pads and had the car serviced by a local garage, who are well respected in the area with owners of Classic and retro cars.
You will see it failed the MOT initially in April 2025 - the failure on Anti-rollbar drop links was repaired, as were the torn steering rack gaiters that were advised at the time.
As well as the spare parts listed above there is a lot of paperwork - mainly sales brochures.
