Description
Ernest the Marina is great fun to drive 1700 HL with bodyworks done at the front with scuttle and wings now sound.
Electrics working to all lights and even the intermittent wiper works.
Replacement front scuttle and windscreen was done last year and fitting of replacement front wings and welding to driver side floor arch.
Radio has power but np sound so may need speakers sorting.
Has been in London and to the BL Day at Gaydon with the Marina Owners Club.
Have taken out the thermostat as could get hot in city driving but did not over heat on long drives from London to Warwick, Yorkshire and Scunthorpe.

Open to offersI bought Ernest in Southampton from local teacher who has it as a school technology project. The Marina was a car my Dad had as a 1972 1800 and I learnt to drive in his so fancied trying the "New Model'.
I was involved with a classic car garage in Gosport where we took on the front panel works and to help drive the rear drive shaft was serviced .
A good drive and can keep up with other modern cars on open roads getting up to 70mph at fairly low revs so not so loud.
Some spares in the boot and a rear panel to help with arches and the boot side boxes need new floor panels welding in
