Selling my beautiful 2002 Alfa Romeo 156 2. 0 Twin Spark Veloce Selespeed
Bought from specialists dealers KGF classics with 31k on the clock (now 34k) it is quite a unicorn and in remarkable condition (probably the finest remaining Alfa 156 left). Sadly with a young child and less time I am downsizing my little collection as they don’t get the use they deserve. Car will be serviced with a brand new MOT. Everything works perfectly as it should including remote locking and alarm. The car also has a unique number plate AL02FFA that is included in the sale.
Bodywork
The beautiful body work is rust, scratch and dent free with bright sparkling Grigio Chiaro Metallic paintwork only some minor stone chips (and little touch ups on rear bumper corner (my fault!) but barely noticeable. All glass and seals original. The car has had a £1000 wheels off full Dinitrol 3175 under body treatment with body wax injected.
Wheels/ Tyres
The unique ‘Selespeed’ wheels are as new without marks or defects. Wheels wrapped in matching Continental tyres. Spare wheel complete and unused.
Engine/ Engine Bay
The Engine bay is immaculate and as you can expect runs beautifully. The beautiful Twinspark engine runs flawlessly and the car has been exceptionally reliable, starting first time, everytime. Coolants and oils regularly changed. The Engine is smooth and makes an intoxicating noise with 155hp. Car has covered just 34k from new.
Gearbox
The Selespeed system is not the unreliable thing people say it is and it is still used today. The only requirement is checking/ topping up the fluid each year and having it checked at service. The system has been 100% reliable and makes driving it really engaging. Once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back. I use usually in ‘city mode’ allowing the car to change up or down itself or in normal mode it’s essentially a manual car you just use the gear knob up or down (across for reverse) to change gear, it’s smooth and easy. You can also change gear from the buttons on the steering wheel. Car also has ‘autoblip’ for aggressive driving but this has never been needed.
Drive
The car drives like new, with tight controls and that beautiful, alive steering that made the 156 famous. It rides much better than many newer cars floating over imperfections yet has sharp, agile handling and very quiet on the move. It's an analogue joy to drive.
Interior
The Irish grey ‘Momo’ edition leather interior is as new, leather unmarked inc the special edition Selespeed Steering wheel. Car also has factory luxury quilted over mats and a clear protector over the top. Car has original Clarion CD stereo. To this day probably one of the nicest, most comfortable interiors. Even inside the map pockets are full aniline leather unlike modern cars.

Thanks :-)The Alfa 156 is undoubtably one of the most beautiful saloon cars ever made with those feminine lines, side mounted number plate and hidden rear door handles. The feel of the cold aluminium door handles, the incredible Momo leather seats to the amber illuminated gauges facing the driver, it's just timeless. I owned a previous 156 Selespeed in 2011 and regretted the day I sold it. My last car had 105k miles and in 5 years (55k) it never missed a beat. When KGF discovered this car I didn't hesitate. Sadly almost 4 years later I lost my Mum, have a young child and don't have the time to appreciate this beautiful car. Car was bought by its previous owner and cherished. The car comes with the most incredible history file that includes annual servicing (Alfa specialists only) and maintenance receipts for over £10, 000 with every tax disc, receipt, every invoice, every MOT and even the original bill of sale back in 2002 and even every business card from every person involved in maintaining the car and all original sales and marketing literature. It's a lever arch file and it's full!
