Description
2009 Citroen C5 X7 Exclusive saloon for sale. 2L diesel, manual. Religiously maintained with full service-history, no major issues, 2 keys. Only selling because I upgraded to a C5 X7 with a 3L V6.
- Pre-refresh 2L diesel, straight 4, (DW10BTED4 / RHF), 140BHP, 320 Nm, 6-speed manual gearbox. Euro 4 thus is NOT London ULEZ compliant.
- Hydractive 3+ hydro-pneumatic suspension.
- 3 total owners. Has been in the same household since 2014 and 8162 miles (last 2 owners).
- 111, 692 miles on the clock, will increase slightly if people test drive it, but the car isn’t being actively driven.
- MOT without advisories, valid until 20/ 11/ 26.
- Full service-history, there’s a whole ring binder of invoices and more dating back to 2009.
- Fuel pressure regulator replaced and small service at ~111. 5K.
- Varta Silver Dynamic battery fitted in late April 2025.
- Front bushing & ball joint, drop link, rear rubber LDS pipe, brake fluid, gearbox fluid and small service at ~105K.
- Rear brake pads, rear brake discs, alternator belt and aircon re-gassed at ~102K.
- Timing belt, glow plugs and Eolys fluid at ~85K.
- Loads more work done over the years, way too much to list here. Has been serviced by the Chevronic Centre for the last couple of years.
- Steering rack and wiper motors have been faultless; these are known weak points on X7s.
- 17” Michelin Primacy 4+ all-around, Primacy HP full-size spare with ~40 miles of use on it.
- Has been run almost exclusively on Shell V-Power over the years.
- Interior is in decent condition, smoke and pet free, small signs of normal wear and tear.
- I’ve upgraded the head unit to an RD45 from a later C5 so that it now has Bluetooth for calls and music as well as USB-in without compatibility issues.
- All interior light bulbs upgraded to LEDs.
- Exterior is in decent condition. There’s a stone chip in the paintwork just above the windscreen and small signs of normal wear and tear. The alloys have seen better days however. Over the years, the car has been hit 3 times. All at very low speeds and causing only cosmetic damage which has always been fixed. The car has never been written off by insurance.
- The windscreen has a scuff in the passenger’s line of sight. It has never been an issue for MOTs and is not a structural risk.
- The top hinge on the driver’s door squeaks.
- The passenger door mirror glass has an intermittent memory issue. The glass adjusts just fine with the main door controls, but won’t always adjust when you recall the settings through the memory slots. The mirror also has an intermittent folding issue. It’s a lubrication issue, but the mirror is a pain to disassemble. Giving it a firm push as you lock the car sorts it out.
- Two of the heating elements in the top right of the rear window have failed. This does not obstruct the view in the mirror. It just takes that patch a bit longer to demist.
- Any inspection and test drive welcome, but you will need to take out temporary insurance in your name for the day. I’m based in North-West London so I’ll cover the ULEZ charge for the test drive.
- Comes with box of miscellaneous components including a copy of the workshop manual.
- £2500 private sale, cash or bank transfer. No warranty implied nor given. Sold as is. I’m happy to answer questions.
