Description
Capots Vintage, specialists in sports and classic vehicles in Lyon, offer for sale a 1957 Triumph TR3:
nicknamed the “little mouth” due to the shape of its grille, we offer a 1957 TR3, a first-series model, presented in its Signal Red finish with a black vinyl interior with white piping. The TR3A, produced between 1957 and 1962 with around 58, 236 units, are nicknamed the “big mouth.” The TR3B, produced in 1962, saw around 3, 331 units built.
At the front, this British roadster is equipped with a bumper with two overriders, long-range headlights with badge mounting and protective grilles over the lamps. At the rear, there are also two additional overriders as well as a luggage rack. Notably, our car is fitted with four steel wheels matching the body colour, as were the original TR3 models.
The black interior with white piping is in good condition, with seats recently reupholstered. The paintwork is in good condition, showing some patina in places, which adds charm to the whole.
Mechanically, the 2L engine has been recently serviced. In addition, we performed a compression check, which proved satisfactory.
It is sold with its two wind deflectors and its hood cover, and has a four-seat historic-vehicle registration document.
