Description
Triumph TR3a Some cars were built to be looked at. The Triumph TR3a was built to be driven and with 100mph on tap and a clear open road you could experience the magic ton, not bad when you consider what other cars were around in the 1950s. Just sitting still you see a classic, low -cut doors, wide grinning grill, frog style headlights, and with a turn of the key that throaty exhaust is nothing less than pure music.
This lovely UK example has been fully restored maintaining originality but with just a hint of the Le - Mans pedigree and I think like us you will agree he got the balance just right. Excellent panel fit with superb coachwork, strong re-built engine with good oil pressure and unleaded cylinder head conversion. New wire wheels and radial tyres all round, front disc brakes, full weather gear including tonneau cover.
I’ve been very fortunate over the years to have owned many of these cars and I have to say this one is a real hoot to drive, she pulls like a train, steers, brakes, and becomes one with the right driver. This was the car that defined a generation of British sports car dominance.
