It is the owner's pride and joy, who is reluctantly selling as he doesn't use it as much as it deserves. This California has been used mainly in the summer months, bringing memorable moments to the family!
It comes with the original German booklet and has undergone several official maintenance and documented mechanical repairs (none due to any known accident). This campervan is equipped with the economical 69hp JX Turbodiesel engine with a 5-speed gearbox and power steering. Average consumption 7, 5lt/ 100km.
The interior has always been meticulously maintained and is in impeccable and original condition, with a twin-burner hob, 40 L fresh and grey-water tanks, electric pump, tap and sink. Refrigerator with 3-power types/ selector: secondary/ leisure battery, LPG or 220V mains - and Trumatic heating, all using the LPG gas tank located outside the cabin; gas system recently inspected and certified.
Completely odorless/ non-smoking, the original curtains are clean and functional as are the various storage compartments. The interior is extraordinarily rational and intelligent in its use of space, the front seats swivel ~180 degrees backwards. With original T5 and LED lighting.
This van was imported from the UK but it is left-hand drive (standard in Europe), and is perfectly road-legal in Portugal, with a valid inspection (MOT) until 11/ 2026.
Pop-up canvas: in very good condition, features the modern front double zip version, with mosquito net and blackout.
It is a Classic ACP (AA equivalent), bodywork in general good condition, with small rust spots that deserve attention, as well as some general aspects of improvement, normal for a 36 years historic vehicle, reflected in the price, which leaves room for the buyer to make the improvements they wish.
Mechanical condition: engine starts easily, runs smoothly, regular oil and filter changes and general maintenance.
Upgrades: light alloy wheels, wider base. Tyres and brakes in good order, ready for travel.
Recent replacement of alternator, belt and starter motor.
