Hello and welcome to Hastings Motorcycle Centre. We are delighted to offer this exceptional Ducati 900SS (Super Sport), registered 01/ 03/ 1980 (1979 model year) with 42231 miles and a true icon of Ducati’s golden era.
This is a UK-supplied bike that was ridden in the UK until the late 1990s, covering 42, 195 miles, before being purchased by a collector in Denmark. The motorcycle remained part of a private collection and was not ridden again until it returned to the UK in 2022.
Since its return, the previous owner has undertaken a sympathetic restoration to bring the bike back to its former glory. The motorcycle benefits from a fresh professional repaint costing £1, 900, along with extensive mechanical work including a new clutch and a new electronic ignition system supplied by the well-known specialist MDINI Italia. Invoices for mechanical work total in excess of £3, 000, providing excellent peace of mind.
The Ducati 900SS is widely regarded as one of the most important and desirable classic Ducatis ever produced, famed for its bevel-drive V-twin engine, race-bred heritage and unmistakable styling.
