I personally imported this Holy Grail of vans , a short wheelbase "no window" shorty a few years ago to embark on a full custom van project, as id not seen a "true 70s" representation to a show winning standard for many years .
The Chevy G20 you see before you was a dry state California van with ZERO welding needed at all , so a great base to start with . The van must of been used to transport pillows as it was straight and dent free , very rare for a work van .
I set about collecting origonal period correct parts to do it properly .

As with most vans from back in the day , one of the best custom mods was a Gullwing door conversion which was top of my list to achive to ensure the right overall look for the van .
As the pictures show the paintwork on the particular vehicle is a thing of beauty !! .
Started of with a heavy gold peal as a base , then the process of laying. out the desighn with the "Monster Gold Flake " mid section and contrasting series of lines and shapes to bring it alltogether . This process took over 18 months to achive the "jaw dropping" vehicle you see today .
The interior inside really stands out , with its custom made rear bed mattress , centre section living room and fireplace , with octogen oak table to the front drive position with Captains swivel front seats .
The whole interior boasts a true 70s desighn with , orange swirl material , gold crushed velvet and brown shag carpet , making it probably the best True 70s inspired Custom Van currently in the UK .
The van has been magazine featured and won several best of shows it attended .
The engine is a 5. 7 litre V8 with AUTOMATIC gearbox , received a full service including
New water pump
New fuel pump
New power steering pump
New coil
New ignition leads
New rotor
New cap
New oil filter
New fuel filter .
