1972 ASTON MARTIN DBS
Chassis DBS5829R is a very special DBS indeed , not only is it an extremely low mileage example (40k) and only 2 former keepers from new but it is also the very last ever 6 cylinder DBS produced .
Also comes complete with a heritage certificate confirming it is still finished in its factory colour scheme of Dubonnet Rosso over a black leather interior.
This vehicle was purchased 11 years ago as a restoration project and the total expenditure has ran well into six figures including extensive metalwork including various new body panels and a full new floor throughout , all the interior panels have then been treated to red oxide primer .
The body was completely stripped and taken back to bare metal and fully repainted . All rubber seals have been replaced along with new front and rear screens replaced also .
Inside the headlining has been recovered in the correct fluted fashion , there is a full brand new carpet set ready to fit and all the seats have been retrimmed in the correct black leather and are ready to fit also .
The braking system - calipers, flexis, brake discs and pads have been replaced also .
The gearbox is still in the vehicle and will require refurbishment , the engine is no longer with the vehicle and a replacement will need to be ordered along with ancillaries (I have a contact who can supply this at a reasonable price if needs be)
An extremely reasonably priced vehicle that would have cost a small fortune to restore to this point that we are selling due to having a large current workload in the workshop .
