Converted to unleaded in 2001 by South Cerney Engeneering.
5 owners from new including me.
This vehicle is what I would call a Survivor car, loved and used, Unmodified and kept in as original condition as possible, never restored just repaired and maintained as needed along the way.
I have changed the oil and filter twice during my ownership also the coolant and inhibitor.
What this car now needs is some TLC.
It starts no problem and the engine runs sweetly.
It was regularly started and driven however one of the rear brakes has recently locked on but is moveable, however the car is not drivable on the road at present because of this but it can be moved up and down my driveway.
Slight blow on the exhaust.
Chrome is beginning to tarnish on the rear bumper but I believe this is the original chrome finish.
Bodywork, panels are all solid the only thing to mention is a very small dent ( near the letter “U” on the front Sunbeam lettering) as where a previous owner nudged it with another one of his vehicles, it is however hardly noticeable.
The previous owners have all stated that the car has not been involved in any accidents which is reassuring.
Passed an MOT in 2019 and the as far as I know the underneath is solid.
I recently inspected the underside and noted that on the drivers side on the bottom of the front wheel arch needs a repair, as seen in the photos.
There is an even smaller repair needed in the same place on the passenger side.
Please see pictures.
Original hard top that is in extremely good condition, just a couple of small tears to the inside lining as seen in pics.
Tonneau cover.
Car is fitted with Overdrive which works.
Original wheels and hubcaps.

Dealer fitted speakers to rear.
Original badge bar and badges are here too but not fitted atm.
The original Jack, wheel brace, foot pump and starting handle are in the boot within the Boot holding clips and have been much coveted by other Alpine Owners!
Also included is a hard top stand to store when not in use.
Rev counter and clock is currently not working and need fiddling with and the car at some point was converted to negative earth.
I had the Original Radio working at one point.
Seatbelts were an optional extra from new and fitted by Cathedral garage when first purchased and are original, made from aviation parachute harness with aluminium fittings.
This is a British Classic sports car in amazing condition for 64 years old that still turns heads and evokes a bygone era.
It need some TLC and attention to get it in tip top condition.
The car has been garaged all of its life by all its owners.
Historic car status so tax and MOT exempt.
If you are looking for a genuine survivor car that hasn’t been over restored and still feels and looks like a British car from 1960s this is the one.
This was my dream when I bought it but life has unfortunately got in the way. This is very special car and has been called “Sunny” by its previous owners who have each adored and cherished this vehicle.
I looked high and low for the “right” Alpine and was amazed to find it in pretty much original condition with its full history, it’s a rare opportunity to buy a really honest car with trackable history unrestored and straight.
Tons of character and features.
It was first registered in Bristol in 1964 just a few miles from where I live so it was an amazing coincidence to find the car although it was in Sheffield!
I acquired this car on the 8th Feb 2017 and had every intention of spending time and love on it but unfortunately the time element has not been forthcoming!
I have driven it on many dry days out usually with the roof off and I have covered 1400 miles, I also drove it to the Bristol Classic Car show at Shepton Mallet in June 2018 where it was exhibited on the Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club stand.
It now needs a new owner to cherish it.
History and paperwork.
A comprehensive history of this car has been written up in Classic Car Mart from Feb 2006 with all its previous owners stories and comprehensive history of the car and is well worth a read,
If you are interested I can send you a PDF copy.
The last picture of the car with the toy cow on the bonnet is from 1964 when first purchased!
I removed the badge bar as I like to see the shape of the front grille. Personal preference, you can put it back on!
Old MOTs, Tax discs, original log books, loads of receipts for sundries etc.
Photos, service book and letter detailing manufacture details from Alpine Owners Club.
Also included are letters from the first 3 previous owners detailing ownership.
Viewings are welcome, the car is in Bristol.
I am also happy to connect via FaceTime and do a car tour.
I also have many more photos if needed.
