This 2007 Lotus Exige S 240 represents the culmination of a philosophy firmly geared towards pure performance. Developed by Lotus Cars through its competition department Lotus Sport, this version sits as a radical variant of the Exige S, specifically designed for intensive circuit use while remaining road-legal.
Relying on the brand’s characteristic extruded-and-bonded aluminium chassis, the S 240 retains a torsionally very rigid structure for a controlled weight around 930 to 950 kg. It is powered by a 4-cylinder 1. 8-litre Toyota-derived engine (2ZZ-GE) equipped with a supercharger, developing around 240–243 bhp and a torque close to 236 Nm.
