Description
This rare Mazda MX5 Merlot is a rare limited edition MK1.
They were produced for the UK market and around 600 were sold but many have fallen by the wayside due to rust issues.
The last owner ( a garage owner) bought the car in 2012 as a third vehicle to use for holidays and high days. He used it very little and then just stored it in his heated workshop which preserved it well.
V5 reg document here and in my name.
Original book pack and old MOTs going back to 2011.
Currently on 69, 100 miles with a long MOT until 7th November 2026.
Recently recommissioned with a service, new brake fluid and MOT it is ready for the road and hopefully a good summer!
The paintwork is extremely good with minor chips to the front end as you would expect.
The underside is very good and clean with no obvious rust problems.
The Merlot special editions had Vin Rouge paint, power steering, grey piped leather seats and wood trim.
It even comes with new spare Merlot wing decals which are unobtainable!
The original hood is in very good order for the age with a clear back window.
Good tyres all round.
It starts and drives very well.
