Rare Mk1 1. 6 Limited Edition. Part of a private collection which I am selling, keeping Number 1 and selling this example which is number 87 out of 250 made worldwide. The car is in generally good condition, mechanically prepared very well having recnley re commsioned the car ready for someone to enjoy and take to the next level. This car would be a perfect rolling road restoration for an enthusiast. The work recently carried out is as per below all by a Mazda technician who worked on these cars from new:
- New Number plate holder as per original.
- Brake Fluid full system flush and change.
- New brake discs and pads all round.
- New calipers all round.
- New rocker cover gasket.
- All auxilary drive belts changed.
- Timng belt and tensioaner changer.
- New waterpump.
- Front Lower arem ball joints changed
- Both Track rod ends replaced.
- Window reglators stripped and lubricated.
- New Fuel pump
- New correct genuine Mazda battery and clamp - very rare on a car this age.
- Engine oil and fiulter changed.
The car drives very well and will come with a new MOT. The underside of the car is structurally sound, but has the usual surface rust whch can be remidied with a wire brush and or Lanogard. The cars body is in good for its age but has lacquer peel in places and a few parking dents. The wheels would be beautiful once refurbished, this can be done by myself at extra cost to the buyer.
I do not have any prior service history to the car as this was lost bu the previous owner, but can supply paperwork for all the work I have done.
PLease note the car is based on a 1600cc not an 1800 cc.
