I sell my 1968 Honda S800 convertible or exchange it for a completely renovated one Austin Healey Sprite MK I LHD.
First I will write why:
I invested a lot of money in the car. For a pensioner, it is an unnecessary luxury to drive such an expensive car with an F1 engine (Honda and F1 - this is a well-known thing).
I would like a cheaper convertible and some money for myself.
The Honda has German documents - deregistered, bought from Germany to Slovakia.
The car has a certificate of historic vehicle according to F. I. V. A. (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens).
And this can only be done for a car that is in good condition, both technically and historically.
Over the winter I have now done:
- I took out the fuel tank, cleaned it again.
- I took out the carburetors, cleaned them and all the seals are new.
- The oil in the engine is only for flushing. This means draining the flushing oil in the spring, pouring new oil in there and installing a new filter that I have.
I didn't have time to finish the oil change. The building where I had a large garage for Honda maintenance was sold.
The car is now in a small warehouse, just stored. There is no room to work there.
I am 70 years old. In the last few months I have found that I can't handle it anymore. I am tired. I prefer a completely finished car as I mentioned earlier.
The winter price in this technical condition is €28000

Description of the renovation work:
The work was carried out in a specialized workshop in cooperation with the Association of Classic Car Collectors, which is a member of F. I. V. A.
- The plastic windows of the convertible roof were polished.
- A new battery was installed.
- The electrical system was tested for functionality (wipers, horn, headlights, indicators, etc.).
- The fuel tank, carburetor, and fuel pump were cleaned.
- The oil and oil filter were changed.
- The starter was rebuilt, including a new starter chain and a rebuilt freewheel.
- Corroded parts were cut out and sanded in the club workshop. These included the sills by the rear wheels, the upper parts of the front fender under the decorative moldings, and the dented side of the right door.
- The sides and other affected areas were repainted.
– Replacement of fuel hoses and hydraulic lines for brakes and clutch – Exhaust system: main muffler, complete overhaul + production of new parts, sandblasting, painting
– Oil pan: disassembly, cleaning, flushing, sealing, cleaning of oil pump, filter replacement
– Brakes: Handbrake: complete disassembly, sanding, cleaning, painting and assembly;
Brakes: new rear brake cylinders, complete overhaul of front brakes, complete overhaul of master brake cylinder (seals, springs);
Foot brake: Cleaning and surface treatment of repaired parts, final treatment, assembly and fastening, bleeding
– Clutch: Repair of master and slave cylinder (seals, springs), assembly of clutch cylinder, adjustment of pedals
– New front wheel bearings
– Repair of drive shaft, universal joint
– Change of transmission oil
– Change of oil in differential.
- Replacement of new speedometer bowden cable, new wipers.
