Description

The most significant aspect of the Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce is the balance achieved between mechanical performance and the purity of its design, which for many enthusiasts makes it the absolute pinnacle of the 105 series.
A differenza delle versioni precedenti e successive, la 1750 GTV si distingue per:
- The 1779 cc engine: Considered the "golden point" of Alfa Romeo's twin-cam production, this 118 bhp unit offers greater smoothness and torque than the previous 1600, while remaining ready and quick to rev.
- Design evolution (Bertone): Introduced in 1967, it marks the departure from the stepped bonnet in favour of a smoother, more modern front end, characterised by four circular headlights and an extremely balanced visual stance.
- Driving dynamics: Thanks to the reduced weight (around 970-1040 kg) and an optimised track, it offers agility and a steering feel that make it one of the most satisfying coupés to drive of its era.
- Historical significance: The name "1750" is a direct homage to the legendary Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 of the 1930s, underscoring the marque's ambition to unite elegance and sporting spirit.
Registered in Milan on 3 February 1968 and part of the first production (chassis 622) of the 1750 GT Veloce, this specimen, preserved, arrived in Brescia in the late 1990s and has thus benefited from being able to retain its original number plates and documents. Currently still in use by its last owner for 30 years, born in 1942, he has decided to consider selling it. The car has under 98, 000 km and the engine, generous, delivers a clean, exciting sound! The car, matching numbers and colour, is ASI homologated. The car is fitted with the famous, at the time, Metra anti‑theft device, which saved many cars from theft due to its efficiency and sudden activation (for the thieves). The car is naturally compliant with its periodic inspection until the end of September 2027.
