It had one owner from new until I purchased it in May 2025. Since then I have comprehensively restored it both inside and out.
A fresh respray in the correct whitehall beige on the roof and damask red on the body makes all the difference. It really looks the part.
The underside is solid and free from any rust. There was light surface rust which I wire brushed off, then kurusted and undersealed to prevent corrosion in the future.
Brand new stainless steel bumpers at the cost of £1000!
Fully functional hydrolastic suspension system, rejuvenated with brand new copper pipes and a new displacer.
Refurbished HS4 carb (an upgrade over the original HS2), high flow alloy manifold and maniflow exhaust, new hoses, along with a refreshed cylinder head means the engine runs well, starts first time and is reliable with good oil pressure.
New electrics: sealed headlight units, flasher unit, aldon distributor, coil, HT leads.
Brand new trim: side chrome strips, stainless steel wing mirrors, stainless steel rear view mirror, bonnet stripe.
Brand new carpet has been fitted which, frankly, is outstandingly lovely. Seats have been deep cleaned and the colour restored so they are now a lovely dark red.
Lots of original paperwork included.
There is probably more that I have forgotten, but I have spent most evenings and weekends working on this car since I bought it. It has been a real labour of love and I would very much like it to go to a wonderful new home where it can be enjoyed.
